The More You Can Inspect, The More You Can Expect
What Happens When Software Providers Partner Productively
You might want to think of it as “digital diplomacy.”
It happens when you’re using a software tool to provide a service. You may encounter a situation when you need to obtain information from another tool to complete that service. The problem is, while you have both tools, they don’t speak with each other. They don’t integrate with each other. You’re looking at manually entering information from one to the other. Not efficient but may be your only choice.
Many Examples
There are examples all around us of things that should work together, but don’t.
In healthcare, you may have a patient with Blood Type A, but you have an abundance of Blood Type B in your blood bank. One solution is Blood Type O, the universal donor which can be given to patients with any other blood type.
Another more IT-related example is the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. You may wish to take data from your existing ERP, CRM, or other system and migrate it to a new platform. Often, the easiest way is to bring the data from the existing system into Excel, save it in comma-separated-variable format (.csv) which is a widely accepted format and then upload it into the new platform.
Becoming a More Capable MSP
Another example, far more relevant to the world of MSPs, will be the subject of an upcoming Liongard webinar. This session will illustrate one of the most valuable but less-widely-known advantages of the Liongard platform.
The session will feature NinjaOne and Huntress.
NinjaOne describes their platform as having been “built to help IT and MSP teams efficiently managed, patch, and support all endpoints.”
Huntress describes itself as “custom built for the needs of SMBs and the MSPs that secure them, empowering you to protect your clients and fight back against attackers.”
It’s easy to see the value in using both of these tools together. Although they aren’t directly integrated, that’s where Liongard comes in to bridge the gap.
Liongard inspectors pull data from both NinjaOne and Huntress into the Liongard platform. It can then capture the system state with every scheduled run, monitor for change detections on the data, provide custom metrics, generate custom reports, and generate actionable alerts.
Deeper Dives
There are two quick ways to learn more about how to leverage Liongard to extend and expand the breadth of things you can accomplish for your clients.
The first is to visit the Liongard Apps and Services System Inspector Summary.
The second is to join our collaborative webinar with NinjaOne, Huntress and Empath on September 16th at 13:30 BST. To register for this event, click here.
