Liongard's wrap up on this year's IT Nation Connect event
Liongard had blast at #ITN18 this year! We're on a mission to help MSPs automate their documentation so their engineers can go back to being engineers.
IT Nation Connect never disappoints as the year’s biggest event for MSPs! Being "The Must-Attend Event for Companies that Sell, Service, and Support Technology," there are countless reasons not to miss it. It was especially great for folks who signed up with us and secured their #ITN18 exclusive!
As a recap, Wednesday was full of energy and new faces from around the world at the Welcome Reception. We kicked off the night with a Solutions Pavilion presentation on how MSPs can Kiss Stale Documentation Goodbye. Filling in form fields to keep system configs up-to-date no longer makes any sense. It’s 2018, folks! MSPs followed our team back to learn more about our newest release, Metrics & List, and to sign up!
As the reception was closing down, MSPs still hung out with us for deep demos of Roar. Our team then rushed over to B.B. King's Blues Bar for the BIGGEST IT Block Party hosted by yours truly, and a few of our friends. Over 1,300 people packed the outdoor patios for live music for a night of dancing and meeting up with old friends. It was great spending time with our partners from ERGOS, cloudIT, Doberman Technologies, Manawa, Cloud49, Concise, Computer Solutions of Texas, Innover Consulting, and a fantastic opportunity to get to know our newest partners.
On Thursday, the day started with a presentation by ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini who spoke of the “Nation” of technology service providers responsible to keeping the world running. X-as-a-Service is becoming the driving force of business, and the opportunities are endless. MSPs are uniquely positioned to grow by delivering on tomorrow’s promises and technology needs. Tim-Berners Lee followed with his keynote, acknowledging the explosive growth of the internet and what can be done to regain control over our personal data. The subject gave the crowd much to think about.
In the afternoon, at the Pub Crawl, everyone was busy chatting with MSPs over some deserved wine and brews. We shared stories and commiserated on the tedious, life-draining, manual effort of updating system configuration documentation. It was enough to make some of the MSPs cry in their beer! Well, we explained to them, Roar is now here to help MSP engineers go back to being engineers and not technical writers.
Day two ended with a huge live concert by Walk the Moon (Shut up and Automate Documentation with Me?) at Sea World for an IT Nation celebration that will be tough to top. Our team tried to catch all the rides but needed to stay fresh for one more day.
Friday was a continuous stream of MSPs coming by the booth who were encouraged by our friends and evangelists at ConnectWise to stop by. Non-stop demos led to a couple of team members losing their voices amid the excitement!
At noon, you might have seen our Twitter livestream, where we revealed the winner of our $4000 luxury vacation giveaway!
Later Friday, our CEO, Joe Alapat, took the stage to present on How MSPs can harness automated documentation to win back valuable time and money. You can still see his presentation online in the ConnectWise University, and we’ll share it with you here soon. To end the event with a bang, we headed over to the IT Nation Off-the-Grid Party for one last hurrah as ITN18 came to a close.
Overall, this event was most definitely a "Must-Attend Event." Until next year, IT Nation Connect, and we look forward to to seeing you there in 2019!
